Here something should concern us: robots. Not the funny ones in the movies, but machines giving us money, washing our cars, and manufacturing all kind of products. Software selling to us and constantly learning us in order to sell to us more. Airplanes and all kind of vehicles driving themselves. Those are taking more and more jobs. Not immigrants are taking our jobs, but robots. Immigrants are doing for you things you don't want to do. If you hate immigrants it is because you are racist. Anything else. But robots are taking your jobs because they are cheaper and more efficient. Serious economists are saying that in 10 years from now unemployment will become a very serious issue. Not just for hard workers but also for professionals. For everybody. But why? If robots do the job and productivity raises, and there is no less food and energy and resources, so we can all start enjoying life without the need to work. Sounds great. But the thing is that by the existing capitalist system only a few owns most of the global resources, and they keep it to themselves. These bastards have trillions in their bank accounts. They buy expensive cars and houses, but the main use of the money is for buying people in order to make more money. And they buy politicians in order to rule and make people pay them more.
So the problem are not robots. In a perfect world we could all benefit from robots. Analysts claim that today there is no food problem, and technology can solve water and energy problems for everybody around the globe. So why there is so much suffering? Why most of humanity is starving to death and dying from exotic diseases? Because they don't care and because of our conformist attitude.
The good news are that we can change it. It depends on us. In a few years this may be heaven, or health. We decide.
